LA Confidential

It's a man's group play, and of course Kim Basinger as a vase is also a perfect vase. The script of the film is particularly wonderful. The characters portrayed are full and three-dimensional. The three protagonists have no positive image in the ordinary sense. Ed is keen on political investment and only wants to be promoted; Jack is keen on fame and deals with gossip reporters Earn extra money; Bud is rude and impulsive, easy to be used by others, in his opinion, loyalty is even higher than discipline. The ending of the film is not the victory of justice over evil in the traditional sense, but the protagonist in the compromise with the system, in exchange for as many interests and justice as possible.

Book that is wonderful! The plot is so compact! Needless to say, Kevin Spacey, Russell Crowe is so... so bright! ! "Someone won the world, some won a good prostitute and a trip to Arizona."

L.A. Confidential quotes

  • [first lines]

Sid Hudgens: [voiceover] Come to Los Angeles! The sun shines bright, the beaches are wide and inviting, and the orange groves stretch as far as the eye can see. There are jobs aplenty, and land is cheap. Every working man can have his own house, and inside every house, a happy, all-American family. You can have all this, and who knows... you could even be discovered, become a movie star... or at least see one. Life is good in Los Angeles... it's paradise on Earth." Ha ha ha ha. That's what they tell you, anyway.

  • Lynn Bracken: You're the first man in five years who didn't tell me I look like Veronica Lake inside of a minute.

Bud White: You look better than Veronica Lake.
