Let us just wait and see, what the tide could bring you and me

Ah, so I've seen a lot of movies. Good movies, bad movies, various types of movies... Many times when I see works that move my heart, I really want to write a film review, but my laziness and procrastination have caused me to never really start writing... Even the one that made me the most I was shocked and swore to write the "Dead Poets Society" film review, all of which came to nothing under my slack... But this time, I really want to write it.
I never thought that my film review debut was actually given to a film like "The Rest of the Desert Island"... I think it's incredible. I am a vulgar person, I like happy endings, reunions, and comedies, but such a sad and vicissitudes of life film has moved me so deeply that I have to concentrate on writing film reviews!

When typing these words, my brain I still live the episodes I just watched over and over again, and the layers of my heart change when I watch these episodes. There was a slight panic and anxiety in my heart, worried that my writing was not good enough to express the feelings and tremors in my heart...
However, since I have decided to write, I will continue to persevere.
I just want to talk about my feelings in a few details, and only a few details that touched me very much:
1. At the beginning of the film, when Chuck led the FedEx staff to work, the most common sentence in his mouth was: "Tic Tac! Tic Tac!", that is the sound of time passing second by second. Time is the most important thing for Chuck. Every time he urges the workers to work hard, he must be accurate to the second. However, the days and nights on the desert island, without a timing device, he can only rely on a few months to spend. Four long years of loneliness.
Those 1,500 days of boundless self-isolation and waiting have gradually turned this person who advocates "The world is on time" into a slow person who learns to wait for change. Because, in the face of the god of time, many times, we are actually powerless. No matter whether the person is sad or happy, precious time will pass. It will not slow down because of your happiness at the moment, nor will it speed up because of your pain at that time, it will only follow its own pace. Go away and disappear without a trace, minute by minute, bit by bit.
2. The support of belief.
Washed up on a desert island, alone, facing a harsh environment, people will be stimulated by primitive life instincts, those who drill wood to build fire, source materials on the spot, etc. are forced by the environment.
However, when a person faces a cruel living environment, he often needs the support of a belief, so that he can continue to live tenaciously and tenaciously. The belief that Chuck chose was the volleyball that kept smiling, the package that he insisted on not opening, and the pocket watch that his lover gave him.
For Chuck, volleyball is the only friend on the island. It always smiles at him, encourages him to laugh at his setbacks, inspires him to persevere, and uses its silent smile to accompany him through every difficult day and night. Therefore, when he had to give up his Wilson in order to keep the boat, a big man would become so helpless, so saddened to cry, to say "sorry" over and over and over and over. Because that was his only friend in the past four years, he helped him overcome suffering and loneliness, and made him miss his lifelong friend!
The package for Chuck is a quest to support himself by having to go home: "I still have a package to deliver! I have to do my duty and my mission!" I think that's why, at the end of the film , the reason he took the trouble to deliver that package to the recipient, as he wrote on the note, was because "This package saved my life".
3. Ah, I will list the pocket watch separately.
To Chuck, a pocket watch is a promise of love. Such a precious gift, such a seemingly simple but hard-to-keep promise, made this pocket watch carry too much.
He said he would come back, so when the plane crashed, he tried his best to get it back; he said he would come back, so when he spent those hard four years on the desert island, he never forgot to bring it back It hangs nicely around the neck.
When sleeping at night, he put his pocket watch on the rock and glanced at his lover's face from time to time to fall asleep peacefully. Only this beautiful love can bring him the greatest spiritual firmness. Therefore, when he finally saw the ship, what he called out in a hoarse voice was exactly the name of the person he loved the most in his life.
Therefore, when he finally knew that his lover was already a wife and mother, but the object could no longer be him, how helpless the feeling must be, and how heart-wrenching the pain must be! Such perseverance, such expectations, but what is waiting is that things have gone wrong and things have changed. That firm belief was all torn apart and shattered the moment she saw her crying and sitting in the car.
As a result, the pocket watch no longer has any meaning... Since you have given up my love, I will give back the memories that once implicated each other. From then on, we don't owe each other.
4. The moment when Chuck looked back at the island.
What kind of expression is that? There is relief that finally got rid of, and there is nostalgia for letting go. Although life on the island was difficult, the four years of being so pure and indifferent to the world have allowed Chuck to experience a lot of pain and joy that ordinary people can't imagine and experience. Such great sorrow, great joy, great ups and downs, is the ultimate emotion that can no longer be experienced in the past and future life. Chuck's life has undergone a qualitative change because of this deserted island for four years. Therefore, the nostalgia seemed so reasonable to me that I burst into tears.
However, as Chuck says at the end of the credits, he knows this island shouldn't be where he belongs for the rest of his life. He knows that the desert island can only be a "once" in his life, and no matter how unforgettable it is, it will definitely become the past. People, always look forward. So, he turned that life experience into this sentence: "I Know what I have to do now... gotta keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?"

Let us just wait and see, what the tide could bring you and me.
