The hardships of life cannot be experienced without personal experience. Just like every 5km run, even if there are countless moments of wanting to give up, but every time it depends on the will to persevere. But who knows the tiredness in the middle? Life is not a long run, from one place to another. The most frustrating thing is that many times, even if you try hard, it may not be what you want. But even so, it still has to be rushed. Even if all this may just be forced to be carried forward by society, you still have to work.

Fortunately, I received a PhD offer from HKUST today. But I know this is just the beginning. In the future, there will be more and greater hardships waiting for you to overcome one by one. No matter how difficult it is, go ahead with your ideals! When I look back on my life in my sixtieth year, I can do that I don’t feel regret for wasting my time, nor feel ashamed for being mediocre. It’s enough to have happiness and value.
