THE FALL

It is quite an intensive movie.

I do not think that “American psycho” merely focuses on psycho. Instead, it is about the darkness hidden deep down inside.

Bateman represents everyone in that society. He has been thinking of killing women and his competents, yet he only imagines that and then draws pictures. At the end, Bateman returns from his illusions to his usual life, although his secretary will not treat him in the same way since she has read his PB, along with his lawyer. But he can be anyone. All of his colleagues are similar to each other. They all share the same core values, taking appearances as their major concrens. They are all self -centred and narcissistic, mistaking others and trying their best to show off. Bateman indicates that the society is crazy and nothing can be done to avoid that.

I believe that the whole murders committed by Bateman are visional (judging from the calmness shown by his colleagues, the old lady who are selling her house and security guards). I am fond of such angle in which the inner world of the hero is presented .

    1. An unusual murderous movie, in a superficial and exaggerated way, it sketches a satirical portrait of the upper-class American elites. The impression is hearty, sometimes intimidating or falling into doubt. 2. Christian Bell played a double-faced cold-blooded killer who was depressed, empty, and extremely narcissistic. He was shocked with a smile but not a smile. He also contributed a large number of emoticons and made two phone calls. The confession when the heart is broken is simply wonderful. 3. Modern urban civilization that criticizes consumerism, money supremacy, vanity and hypocrisy, emotional exhaustion (only greed and disgust), and schizophrenia have put many symbolic joyful bridges into this, such as competition and competition. Business card fonts and printed patterns, obsession with facial masks & fitness (glossy skins), great music taste before murder, and high-end restaurants that are difficult to order. 4. Two mentions of Trump (father and daughter), and Reagan on the ending TV. Now, I don’t see any prophecies, and I point my finger at the Republican Party. 5. At the end of the [Texas Chainsaw Massacre] broadcast while crunching, the [Les Miserables] musical poster. 6. The truth is indistinguishable, and the truth is indistinguishable, but it is not the point. (8.0/10)

Watching this movie after chasing the series of law and politics pioneers, all the way tangled, except for the cute little Bell's good acting skills, why can't the police catch him? Also, he thinks about killing every day, how can he be a banker that is so awesome on Wall Street? Very magical noir movie~

  • Paul Allen: This is really a beehive of, uh, activity, Halberstam. This place is hot, very hot.

Patrick Bateman: Listen, the mud soup and the charcoal arugula are outrageous here.

Paul Allen: Yeah, well. You're late.

Patrick Bateman: Hey, I'm a child of divorce. Give me a break.

Patrick Bateman: Hmmmm, I see they've omitted the pork loin with lime Jell-O.

Patrick Bateman: [looks across the room] Is that Ivana Trump over there? Jeez, Patrick, I mean Marcus, what are you thinking? Why would Ivana be at Texarkana?
