I've always been unfamiliar with Superhero commercials. I still prefer DC in comparison. Harley Quinn in this one is too eye-catching. So I'm curious to see it. Suicide Squad is so cool, I'm more curious to see it .
My original expectation for this film was a cool film like The Gifted. It has a very fancy character setting. It can also establish a deep and layered conflict based on such a character setting. Form a story. If a film is too short, the overall feeling is that the characters are piled up. It is too flat. It will be more exciting if it is made into a short play of 3-4 episodes.
The first hour is all about describing the deadshot. They each have their own brilliance. And the government human beings are like cerebral palsy patients playing with their rights. The second hour begins to enrich the characters with details.
So Deadshot became a retired killer old father who just wanted to be with his daughter. Harley became a very ordinary girl who fell in love with Joker and betrayed herself desperately. Diablo was a prodigal son who lost control and burned his wife and children to death. These details make these characters seem more grounded. Deadshot deliberately misses Harley details and makes it feel like they're not just a bunch of Coolguys who give the characters a bit of blood.
In fact, the most Fancy is Harley and Joker's crazy love. It makes people wonder what they went through. Seeing Would you die for me? Would you live for me? And then Harley jumped into the chemical potion. And Joker's last moment When I couldn't bear to jump in and fish her out. The madness of the two paired with the chemical rainbow? The overlooking effect is really perfect. But it needs some preparation. Otherwise, I always think this is an excellent separated clip.
The story can't be complained any more. The plot is quite confusing and boring. A witch stands in the middle of the city and casts a spell. Then they worked so hard to kill a lot of people and finally killed the wizard through El alone. And then a little girl in Harley cut her heart with a knife while Enchantress wasn't paying attention????? Then why bother with so much...??
You can still watch it. But. Is it okay to ask a GoT screenwriter to help?
