It's a self-preservation thing, you see.

Love actually and Valentine's Day are both good looking, there's no denying it. Valentine's Day is that everyone has a happy ending; Love actually has a happy ending, and there are a few people in it that are very tragic.

There are two scenes with a guy and Keira Knightley that are two of my favorites in the whole movie.

Keira Knightley got married at the beginning, and then he was in the queue. Later, Keira asked him to tape and said that there was no picture she wanted in other people's queues. She married his friend and thought he didn't like her. He never married her. Talk, and then she sees what he's taking, it's all her shots, her happy smile, and then she says

"But you never talk to me. You always talk to Peter. You don't like me."

" Hope it's useful. Don't show around too much. Needs a bit of editing. ..." and walked out the door, then he turned back and said

"It's a self-preservation thing, you see." and left. . .

Then came the familiar melody of Dido's Here with me. He was walking alone in the street.

I also liked Dido very much.

So, the self-preservation thing... all the people who were happy together at the end, wrote a Christmas card saying I like you, Christmas eve ran to Portugal to propose marriage, passed the airport checkpoints and confessed to a girl Either way, it's okay to say all I want at this Christmas is you, no matter what the result is, at least they have tried to express their feelings in a timely manner, and they won't be like that man, it's too late.

An audience like me who doesn’t know much about foreign movies has always been in the state of "I rely on this person to be so familiar. Isn't this person that person? This person is a big name, I know the name of this person!..." middle.

If the plot is flat, don't engage in group narrative, otherwise you will fall into the abyss of boredom. It's not a multi-line, it's a group line! The so-called group line means that you are just about to enter this plot, and then you jump to another plot, and you can't enter the play throughout the whole process, that is, a group play! Moreover, the ten stories basically have no necessary connection, and they just stuff a group of people into one story and join in the fun.

Love Actually quotes

  • [having just sung the words "Love is all around me" instead of "Christmas is all around me" yet again]

  • [in Portuguese]

    Jamie: Good evening. Mr. Barros?

    Mr. Barros: Yes?

Jamie: I am here to ask your daughter for her hands in marriage.

Mr. Barros: You want to marry my daughter?

    Jamie: Yes.

Mr. Barros: [yelling toward the back of the house] Come here, there is a man at the door. He wants to marry you.

[a large and confused woman emerges]

Sophia Barros: But I've never seen him before.

    Mr. Barros: Who cares?

Sophia Barros: You're going to sell me to a complete stranger?

Mr. Barros: Sell? Who said 'sell?' I'll pay him.

Jamie: Pardon me. I'm meaning your other daughter - Aurelia.
