great ending

I'm not very interested in war movies. 125 minutes of the film, until 110 minutes all I feel is nothing more than: very exciting, very manly, very handsome, bloody masculine.
But I really liked the ending of the last ten minutes.
I thought Will was going to die, I thought he must have been killed by the last bomb as he was about to withdraw. As a result, he returned to the United States, lost in the supermarket, and saw only infinite vicissitudes and sorrows in a happy and beautiful family, so he left again.
In the desert, the moment he stepped off the helicopter again, and the moment he put on the bomb disposal suit, he was in high spirits, and his eyes were shining with light.
So we know he must be dead and 365 days until the next withdrawal. I almost forgot the first sentence in the opening credits: War is a drug, it's addictive.

The film's portrayal of the male protagonist JAMES has gradually changed from the subjective perspective of the onlooker to deep into his inner world. The whole process is unobtrusive and unpretentious. It rarely scores music, but uses the sound of warplanes and air defense sirens to create tension. The actor's performance is great. The film's photography and editing are also excellent. But personally feel that it is not worthy of the current “hot” status of the Olympic bid.

The Hurt Locker quotes

  • Sergeant JT Sanborn: [looking at a photo from Will's box] Who's that?

Staff Sergeant William James: That's my son. He's ' tough little bastard. Nothin' like me.

Sergeant JT Sanborn: You mean to tell me you married?

Staff Sergeant William James: Well, you know, I had a girlfriend and, uh, she got pregnant, so we got married, and we got divorced... or, you know, I thought we got divorced. I mean, she's still living in the house and she says we're still together, so I... I don't know. Wha-what does... what does that make her? I don't know.

Sergeant JT Sanborn: Dumb... for still being with your ass.

    [laughs]

Staff Sergeant William James: [kicks at Sanborn] Hey! She ain't fucking dumb, all right? She's just loyal. She's just loyal, that's all.

  • Colonel John Cambridge: You know, this doesn't have to be a bad time in your life. Going to war is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It could be fun.
