fantasy is real

Compared with the great magician shot by Tony Leung and Zhou Xun the year before, it is completely different. The Great Magician can be called a comedy. The Magician is a film that suppresses and carefully releases emotions.
If it weren't for the direct transmission of the words "Illusion is Real" in the play, I would have regarded this film as an emotional tragedy. In the end, the scene where the male and female protagonists embraced verifies the authenticity of this sentence.
Medieval yellowish tones and flowing water scenes always have a strong emotion hidden behind the picture. Or the surprise after meeting again, or the hidden irony, or the uncontrollable sadness, just make people immersed in it.
When the male protagonist himself incarnates an illusion, it is really difficult to distinguish between reality and illusion. Everything is derived from the careful conception of the male protagonist.

If you haven't watched the deadly magic, this is okay, but if you compare it, it's straightforward. . .

The Illusionist quotes

  • Chief Inspector Uhl: As a boy, I'm told, he had a chance encounter with a travelling magician. One version of the story was that the man himself vanished... along with the tree. People began to think he had some sort of special power... or at least that he was a bit different. And then he met her.

  • Josef Fischer: Life and death. Space and time. Fate and chance. Theses are the forces of the universe. Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a man who has unlocked these mysteries. From the furthest corners of the world where the dark arts still hold sway he returns to us to demonstrate how nature's laws may be bent. I give you Eisenheim.
