"The Resurrection of Jesus" is an altarpiece painted by Raphael at the invitation of Cardinal Giulio Medici for the church of Narbonne, France, and it is also the last masterpiece of Raphael before his death. The content is taken from the Gospel of Matthew: Jesus took Peter, James, and John to a high mountain secretly, and suddenly he was transformed in front of them, his face was bright as the sun, and his clothes were white as light.
