what proves we're alive

Gennaro 2022-04-23 07:01:18

why are you alive

I am alive I live to safeguard the continuity of this great society

It's circular
your exist to continue your existence
what's the point

what's your point of existence
to feel
cause you're never done it, you can never know it
but it's as vital as breath
and without it, without love, without anger, without sorrow
breath is just a clock ticking

that is it .

At the end of the film the father said to John "Look at me ! I am living! I can feel!
" This just reflects the biggest paradox
emotion in the film. It is indeed good and bad for us, but in science fiction films, it provides us with a more exaggerated perspective on emotion.
With emotion, we can appreciate art, listen to music, and watch after the rain. The rainbow and family enjoy family happiness and
also have feelings like a father, we will be jealous, there will be discrimination, grief, anger, and finally the slaughter between human beings,

so do we want to have feelings? expensive but worth it

No feelings are the walking dead. People are thinking animals. No thoughts and no feelings. How can we claim to be alive?
Even with a relationship like a father? Is this even alive?

No

this is the paradox the paradox we live
so how can we prove that we live?

Incorporating "Fahrenheit 451" into Orwell's "1984" (or even "Brave New World"), forcibly eliminating emotions, drug control, burning art... involves too many dystopian elements, but it is a little complicated, There is no image that makes the scalp numb. This film is more like an action film that only pursues "coolness", while Bell is handsome, but the action design is completely inferior to "The Matrix" which also combines Chinese and Western culture.

The killing shots at the beginning are photographs frame by frame. This is the biggest highlight, worth three stars, and one star for action drama. The final invincibility set a lot of points.

Equilibrium quotes

  • John Preston: Then I have no choice but to remand you to the Palace of Justice for processing.

Mary: Processing. You mean execution, don't you?

    John Preston: Processing.

  • Father: Prozium - The great nepenthe. Opiate of our masses. Glue of our great society. Salve and salvation, it has delivered us from pathos, from sorrow, the deepest chasms of melancholy and hate. With it, we anesthetize grief, annihilate jealousy, obliterate rage. Those sister impulses towards joy, love, and elation are anesthetized in stride, we accept as fair sacrifice. For we embrace Prozium in its unifying fullness and all that it has done to make us great.
