To be fair, a 3-hour movie can't cover all of the storylines, including Scarlett's peek at Meran and Ashley's letters, and Rhett's several walks and dialogues. But the film wins in that it absorbs the essence of the story very well, smooth and dramatic. Others say how good the performances are, but in my opinion, whether it is the protagonist or the supporting role, there are traces of deliberate performances. This may be a style at that time, but now people advocate a fresh and natural performance style. In any case, this kind of Oscar-quality performance of the last century is hard to see now, and after all, it also represents an era that has gone with the wind.
