The title of the movie is very appealing to a person who likes rock, but after seeing the cover or trailer, you probably know that it is not the kind of movie you expected.
Even so, I sacrificed my sleep time to watch this movie last night.
First of all, as a comedy, there are still jokes, but the overall plot is a bit anticlimactic. Although the idea of the film is not novel enough, it actually has a lot of room for development. But when I watch it, it always feels like a children's movie.
Rock and roll is uncompromising and free. In the film, Dowey repeatedly emphasizes to elementary school students that the rules are the invisible hand, and that the world is "the man". He hopes that the students will bravely say no and break the shackles of the man. But looking at it, as Dowey said, he became "the man". The primary school students, parents, and principals didn't have much anger, and they didn't have the temperament of rock and roll, or they couldn't convince the audience that they wanted to The transformation of rock and roll, on the contrary, under the bewitchment of Dowey, everyone became a thoughtless person, broke free from one the man, and took refuge in another the man.
The ending is a big cliché, but it has not failed to the extreme. If the band organized by the students won the competition award, then it is really impossible to watch.
Overall, there are a few things in the film that are worth laughing at, but compared to the "Dead Poets Society" with a similar theme, it looks very childish. Maybe the IQ of the film is designed to be relatively low, or it is really a children's drama film. Maybe, the three-star evaluation is completely based on this assumption.
