Pirates of the Caribbean 5

The original intention of watching this movie, but also from Steve Jobs.

As the first batch of old Apple fans in China, they have been following Apple's founder Steve Jobs. He was definitely an alternative character, from dropping out of school, going to India to study Buddhism, volunteering in apple orchards, working hard in the garage, right up to his last words "oh", from his first product (i.e. no cost to long distance travel) Number hacker), to Apple computers, to Macs, to Next, to iPods, and even now to iPhones, they have always been there.

Jobs hung a pirate flag in his office and put forward a slogan: It's better to be a pirate than a navy. Among the easter eggs of his early Mac computers was a pirate flag. When introducing the product's video capabilities, he doesn't use his own Pixar "Toy Story" as an example, but always uses "Pirates of the Caribbean" as an example. Compared with Captain Jack, he is just a little less aggressive. But they have a common pirate character. Deviant, defying authority, loving freedom, and leading the way. Maybe it was the strong pirate complex in his heart that prompted him to change the world?

Despite this, I have never been interested in "Pirates of the Caribbean". First, I don't like Captain Jack's panda eyes. Second, I think it's just an adult fairy tale, just to pass the time when I'm bored. It wasn't until the fifth episode was released recently that I just happened to have a little boring time and a boring mood, so I stopped to watch it again.

For this fifth episode, I specially made up for the first four episodes. In the first three episodes, I was drowsy, there was no story, no plot, no character, and a few people were inexplicably calling. In the fourth episode, there is a bit of a story, with a beginning and an end, ups and downs, highs and lows, causes and consequences, and even love seasonings. In the fourth episode, the famous Spanish movie star Penelope Cruz is also the heroine, which is a little refreshing. In the fifth episode to be talked about now, there is even more progress. In addition to the fact that the plot is still the same, the characters have some thoughts, and the dialogue is more humorous.

Most of these films, with a sequel, will only be worse than one episode, similar to a dog-tailed sequel. This film is different. Although there is still no memorable bridge after watching the fifth episode, I can still smile when I see the beauty and look forward to the final result. You can imagine how boring the first few episodes were.

The background of the film is the sea in the 17th and 18th centuries, when European and American maritime trade was frequent and pirates were rampant. Compared with the Viking pirates in the Middle Ages, Jack's generation has already replaced the battlefield shotguns and cannons. They have cannons and muskets, but they have not gotten rid of cold weapons, so they can have close-range and pleasant swords and swords, and can also have cannons on the vast sea. A splendid scene of roaring fire. The beautiful island, the life of eating meat and drinking in large bowls, and the freedom of the world and people, reminds people of Wagang Village, Shuibo Liangshan and Robin Hood.

The protagonist of the film is, of course, Captain Jack. Because he has been living by the sea, he is more tide. The dark circles under his eyes prove that he has been thinking all night, and his clothes that never change can be smelled from a distance. His actual talent is in that mouth. Treat everything with cynicism. At the critical moment of life and death, he did not forget to make a few jokes. In the many battles with the enemy, he has never had the ability to strategize and command the calmness. It's all about getting away with little tricks. So where is his charm?

In my opinion, there is a romance and a desire for freedom in him.

Captain Jack said, "We can go wherever we want, that's what a ship is all about." He also said, "Great pirates don't stick to small details." They all look at life with an optimistic attitude and enjoy life. He is never afraid of death, he never wants to know when the end of life is, and at every moment of life, he can feel the infinite mystery of life itself. He longed for freedom, not only to live, but to live out himself. He hopes that this freedom is also unlimited, free from the fetters of the law, and from the constraints of morality. His pirate ship, the Black Pearl, was a vehicle for freedom. On the boat he is the king and the law, and can do whatever he wants. Perhaps this is the main reason why he chose a career as a pirate.

In all five episodes, Captain Jack is not the absolute protagonist, or rather, he is just a serial character in the series. Each episode has a theme, or the fountain of youth or the trident, the protagonist or the innocent youth, or the dead evil spirit, each has its own purpose, and each has its own ghost. As a result, all kinds of slashing and slashing fights have arisen. But Captain Jack always holds his beloved compass, standing on the "Black Pearl", sailing toward the impossible ideal.

Many literary and artistic works have portrayed various typical characters, and those who are positive are almost always tall. And Captain Jack is far, far away from being tall. Speaking of sense of justice, he has a little bit of evil, a little bit of intelligence, a little bit of cunning, and a little bit of cunning. The character is very close to the people in real life, but the behavior is far away from us. We can't say admiration or contempt for his indifferent state, we just like it. As for his romantic feelings and desire for freedom, we secretly admire him. But I know more: Romance also has to do laundry, if you have good wine, you can't be greedy, and absolute freedom doesn't exist.

The magical part of the film is related to the thinking habits of Westerners, and Easterners don't quite understand it. For example, in our country, the gods are under the control of the Jade Emperor, and the dead are under the control of the Lord Yama. In the film, the dead are governed by the curse, and the goddess is governed by the pirate convention. My head is a little messed up.

I heard that this film has won a lot of awards, but I don't believe it myself. Different eras have different aesthetic needs. Winning an award just means that it happened to meet people's current preferences. For example, the current trend of taking ugliness as beauty is reflected in a large number of films. The screenwriter of the film is a jerk, but the director is very serious. Such an absurd story has been carefully carved by the director, backed by a lot of money, and used so many stunts to cater to the audience's interest. Although the mind is not shocked at all, the eyeballs have been enjoyed enough. It can be considered a win.

The actors' acting skills are good, Captain Jack's cunning and witty performances are appropriate, even those who are suspected of being gay.

There is only one question left, perhaps even more unsolved than Hamlet's: "How to kill a dead man?"

As Captain Jack said, it's a disgusting couple dog.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales quotes

  • Uncle Jack: If they disembowel you, ask for Victor, he's got the softest hands.

    Captain Jack Sparrow: Thank you!

Uncle Jack: Mention my name, and they won't cut your feet off.

  • Gibbs: Jack always said that if anything happened to him, he wanted you to be Captain.

Scrum: But the men voted for you. That's why you got the Captain's hat.

Gibbs: Be that as it may, them were his wishes, so be a good lad and take the wheel. And the Captain's hat.

[Puts the hat on Scrum's head]

Scrum: This is the proudest moment of my...

[Cut to Scrum being pummelled by Scarfield's men]

Scarfield: We will beat your Captain to death until he reveals where you're heading.
