On the Triangle (horror cruise ship) Jess has several types of problems on the cruise ship

A very good movie. I watched it twice and finally understood a little bit. I learned a lot by referring to some film reviews on the Internet. On the Internet, it is generally believed that there are three kinds of Jess experiences on the ship. The initial state when they start to board the ship is the same, and they are all kind in essence. These three experiences are a cyclical process that occurs repeatedly. But after carefully watching and thinking about every detail, I think there are only two types of Jess. This explanation may be more appropriate. Of course, only personal opinions are as follows:

Type 1 Jess's main experience (Jess shown in the film):
1) Get on board, Then he was caught in the restaurant by Vector, and Vector died.
2) ran to the theater to witness Sally and Downey being shot and killed by a masked person (type 1 Jess in the previous stage),
3) a masked person with a gun (1 in the previous stage) Type Jess) chase all the way out of the theater, push the masked man (Type 1 Jess in the previous stage) into the sea after the fight,
4) Push Vector onto the hook, take the gun, and point the gun to Type 2 Jess in the restaurant. Scared him away, and then went to the theater to hit the Type 2 Jess in the previous stage, and pushed Downey and Greg into the sea.
5) After wearing a mask and shooting Greg in the theater, he shot Sally and Downey on the spot.

6) Holding a gun all the way from the theater Hunt down Jess (type 1 Jess in the latter stage), and was pushed into the sea alive after a fight.

This is a complete type 1 Jess activity process.

The main experience of Type 2 Jess (hidden Jess experience, mostly speculation):
1) Get on the boat, and then meet another self (Type 1 Jess in the previous stage) and Vector in the restaurant, and be taken by another self (Type 1 Jess) ) Raised the gun, then ran away and hid.
2) In the dark, witnessed the bleeding on the face Jess (the type 2 Jess in the previous stage) stabbed Downey to death and Sally stabbed the process (presumably)
3) Follow the bleeding Jess (Type 2 Jess in the previous stage) all the way on the deck to hack the Type 2 Jess (Jess in the previous stage 2) and push it into the sea.
4) Push Victor onto the hook and deal with it Corpse (presumed)
5) Shooting Greg with a gun and wearing a mask in the theater (presumably). I wanted to shoot Sally and Downey, but Jess (Type 1 Jess) wounded his head and bleeds. He threw the gun, then took off the mask and stabbed it with a knife. Dead Downey stabbed Sally,
6) Finally, while searching for the injured Sally, he was ambushed by Jess (the next stage Type 2 Jess) who was lurking all the way to track him (presumably)
, and was hacked to death and pushed into the sea.

This is a complete type 2 Jess activity process.

So there are two kinds of Jess's experiences. Jess of these two kinds of experiences are intertwined. There are three Jesss who appeared on cruise ships or small sailboats at the same time (not including those who fell into the sea). Every time a Jess is pushed into the sea , There is another one on the sailing boat, at the same time it can be two Jess type 1 and one type 2, or two type 2 and one type 1 at the same time. While only one of the other characters is alive at the same time, or is dead and other people in the same group are alive, if all of them die, a new group will appear on the sailboat, waiting for rescue.

Of course, this explanation is not entirely without problems, such as memory problems, and the handling of corpses, which still need to be considered. But the premise of all this is that all of this is an illusory roaming of the soul, not a real process. What we can do is to find an explanation that is as reasonable as possible. All in all, this movie is good, it is worth watching, it is better to figure it out carefully, it is recommended.

There is little cleverness, little wisdom~ To elaborate: the director has a certain ingenuity, but the whole film is too focused on some corners and corners, the overall structure is lacking, the explanation is unreasonable, the main line is inadequate, and the details are not considered to be mysterious. The best work, let’s say Samsung

Triangle quotes

  • Driver: Are you alright?

    Jess: Who are you?

Driver: I'm just a driver... No point trying to save the boy, there's nothing anyone can do to bring him back. So... Can I give you a ride?

Jess: Yes. Take me to the harbor.

  • Driver: [wakes Jess up] Hey. I'll leave the meter running. You will come back, won't you?

    Jess: Yes. I promise.
