The Bible is indeed a big IP in Western philosophy. "Prometheus" roughly talks about Genesis, and this one should also talk about the Garden of Eden - that is, the abuse of free will.
Augustine, who proposed the concept of "original sin", said that "free will" is a precious gift given to mankind by God, without which mankind cannot live with integrity. But abuse is an arrogance of God and the original sin of the created. The biggest problem that modernity brings to today's society is the forgetting of God, and forgetting God means forgetting the sinful nature of human beings and the hope of redemption.
So you see, each one is not going to have a happy ending.
