The self-identity of the handicapped

I watched it when I was a child, but I can't remember the specific plot. When I made up for 2, I just watched it together. First of all, the art is impeccable, Pixar really depicts a magnificent underwater world. The main line of the two parts is to find people (find fish?), the original name of the first part is finding nemo, and the original name of the second part is finding dory. Fish looking for fish and fish lost have their own plot lines. And during the journey, in addition to the successful reunion of the two parties who embarked on the journey and found tangible things, the characters further found some intangible qualities. For the family carnival animation, it is both interesting and educational.

The first is a father looking for a son. The father swam across the ocean from the Great Barrier Reef to Sydney to find his son. He met all kinds of marine creatures and had a glimpse of the underwater scenery. Sharks, shipwrecks, deep-sea lanternfish, jellyfish groups, and sea turtle migration... may be the most exciting line. The plot on the son's side mainly takes place in a small water tank, but it is also unexpectedly interesting. On how various living treasure ornamental fish rack their brains to escape the clutches of human young children. Compared to the vegan sharks, humans are the biggest villains in the film, both. As for the horror, the destruction of the environment is described but indirectly, and the more direct description mainly lies in the huge figure + indescribable behavior. Observing humans as objects is indeed like a terrifying monster.

As for the intangible gains during the journey, for the father, he realizes that he cannot over-protect the child. "No accident means he can't do anything." Absolute safety means that life is not fun; The dangers encountered outside the home and realized that the father was so careful to protect him. This kind of mental journey is not uncommon in family stories. Parents know how to let go + children understand their parents' hearts. It is common but easy to use. This is not a routine, but a typical character.

The second part is about Dolly searching for her long-lost parents and a father and son searching for the lost Dolly. The environment is mainly in the aquarium, there is no underwater wonder like the last one, and the look and feel is not as smooth and interesting as the last one. But there are also many surprises, especially Dolly's shaping. Dolly was almost a comedian in the first film, because she suffers from short-term amnesia, and the real three-second memory creates a lot of laughs. In the second part, the tragic point of this disease is reflected, and this tragic nature does not need to be explained. I can't remember what my family and friends said, I can't remember the way home, of course it's a tragedy.

At the same time, it also reflects the advantages hidden in the flaws. Not remembering the past means that she always lives in the present. She can't grow a wiser by eating a cut, but instead has the courage to challenge new things without any scruples. The second part is about family like the first one. Dolly's parents' support and love for her is really touching, but what is most impressive and takes up more space is actually the self-identification of the defective person question. Dolly went from lacking self-confidence because of her amnesia to boldly asking herself what Dolly would do when faced with a crisis. In addition to herself, the clownfish father and son are also aware of her strengths and ask themselves from time to time what Dolly would do. Dollying the whole crew is just around the corner.

Because the aquarium in the second part is actually a biological rescue center, in addition to Dolly, many other supporting characters are also flawed. Whale sharks with poor eyesight, beluga whales without echolocation, octopuses with only seven tentacles (I really think Hank the octopus has a story, other animals want to go back to the ocean, but he prefers to stay in the tank, It's a pity that I didn't talk about it) ... In short, it's all kinds of faulty things. Including Nemo, the protagonist of the first film, also has a stunted fin. They all overcame difficulties in various ways and lived a wonderful fish life in the ocean. I think this is the most moving thing in the second part.

ps. The first one, the seagulls swarming on the seaside in Sydney, in a world view where animals can talk, the seagulls only call "mine mine mine". I think there must be someone in the creative team who has lived in Australia, or at least in a place where there are more seagulls and thick skin, otherwise the fear of seagulls cannot be vividly depicted. However, the kind of honestly fishing seagulls in the film are already honest birds among seagulls. Unlike many of the seagulls today, they have left the coast and are deep into the city. Why fish? It is more trouble-free and delicious to rob human beings to eat! Chips and rice sandwiches are everything. This is the real ruler of the earth!
