In an interview with "Rolling Stone" magazine, lead actor Peter Fonda explained the meaning of the name Easy Rider:

"The word easy rider is specifically used in the southern United States to refer to men who live by their wives as chickens. No, no. The pimps are those who live with prostitutes because they ride on others and live their lives freely. Well, old man, this is what happened in America. Freedom has become a bitch, We ride on her to live our lives."

Wim Wenders introduced this movie in the book Emotion Pictures: Reflection on Cinema. In the book, he mentioned that the original movie wanted to use bob dylan's it's alright ma i'm only bleeding as the ending song, but Bob refused. He told the director, "You have to change the ending of the movie. It's too pessimistic. You have to show hope to others."

But the film still stuck to the original ending. Bob's original soundtrack was gone, so Roger McGuinn had to sing the song.

free. free. free. There are too many films about the 1960s, but I rarely see the road rock films made by themselves in the 1960s. Although it is still immature and a little boring, the ideas and attitudes expressed in this film are undoubtedly small and brave at the time. You can clearly feel the passion of the political ideals of this generation at that time, this kind of non-sensational belief, it is difficult for people to take pictures now. In addition, the rock music that runs through the whole film is too dazzling.

The originator of motorcycle road movies. High-speed cut-off transitions, frequent flashbacks and subjective montages of drug use/sex in the cemetery at the end, camera shots that point directly to the sun, close-ups of faces during dialogue, this film contains too much, prostitutes, drugs, religious redemption, life With death, the "Beat Generation" was extremely confused and chaotic in spirit, full of rebellion and indulgence, and set out to find the meaning of existence, but eventually fell into nothingness and death.
