- The film is Michael Bay’s third film adapted from real events after Pearl Harbor (2001) and "Giving and Gain" (2013).
- Michael Bay originally planned to shoot with film, but the director of photography Dion Beebe wanted to use digital. In the end, due to the more night scenes in the film, the shooting on Sunday was tighter than that on Sunday, and Bei finally compromised.
