One day in 2012, the Hekla volcano near Greenland erupted. This devastating eruption broke the Glacier shelf, and a huge Glacier attacked the United States at an extremely fast speed by inertia. Meteorologist Bill Hart ( Patrick Labyorteaux ), who lives in Maine , USA , is carrying his son Nelson ( Nick Afanasiev ) and his daughter Julia ( Katie Wilson ) on a plane to New York City . On the way, he learned the news of Glacier's explosion from his friends on the Greenland scientific research team, so he tried to take his son and wife Terri ( Julie McCullough ) away from Maine, which Glacier must pass by.
Glacier 's speed seems to be far beyond people's imagination. Bill must rush to New York City as soon as possible to meet his daughter Julia. During this period, Glacier landed in the United States, the climate changed rapidly , and disasters frequently occurred.
