In terms of dialogue, an extremely staged approach is adopted, and the voice of the actors in the dialogue is like a recitation in a stage play. The opera-like dialogue enhances the sense of unreality. If you just feel the tone of the dialogue, people will think that the characters in the film are sufficiently civilized, but the truth is that they are doing the most brutal activities in an elegant way.
In terms of pictures, Kubrick borrowed documentary shooting techniques in some scenes, including live radio, using only natural light for lighting, and using wheelchairs to create bumps when shooting and tracking shots, which deepened the film’s sense of presence. The film’s description of sex is extremely straightforward, but sex is not the core of the film. It is just a manifestation of violence, and it has been given an extremely beautiful form.
In terms of soundtrack, famous classical music such as Beethoven's "Ode to Joy", Rossini's "William Tell", "The Thief" and Elgar's "Awe-inspiring March", have become in line with Ali in the film. With the background music of the violent activities of Cox and others, Kubrick expressed his despair of evil humanity through the most brilliant and joyful movements.
