Lockhart, a successful young director of a financial institution in New York , was sent to a spa in the Swiss Alps by a high-level executive to pick up the company's boss, Drum Bullock. On the way to the mountain, Lockhart’s driver told him about the strange incidents and extraordinary history of this nursing home: According to legend, it was a baron’s castle more than two hundred years ago, and the baron has been doing it on the villagers. Human experiments were conducted to cure the infertility of his wife (and sister), so as to maintain the purity of the next generation's blood. In the end, his experiment was successful, but the villagers discovered his secret and burned the castle in anger.
After arriving at the destination, Lockhart did not see the boss, and the doctor in charge asked him to come again tomorrow. Lockhark was frightened by the strange behavior of other patients in the hospital, but he didn't care too much, and went straight down the mountain with the driver. However, the limousine soon hit a deer and caused a bad traffic accident.
Lockhart wakes up in the nursing home and Dean Wallmanexplains that he has injured a leg and must stay here until healed. In this place like a paradise, Lockhart discovered a series of strange things. The patients here are only unable to get in and receive mysterious treatments. He met the mysterious girl Hannah, and heard that the legendary baron and his daughter did not die
