In New York in the 1960s, Walter Stahlhaus was a successful architect. His wife was the beautiful Clara, who had a seemingly perfect life. But his fascination with an unsolved murder case caused his life to fall into chaos. 
"A Kind of Murder" is a thriller about psychology, based on the New York novel "The Blunderer". The story tells that Walter is a wealthy and successful businessman, but his marriage is not happy, and he is eager to get rid of his wife Clara, a beautiful woman. His obsession with Kimmel, he is GAY, a man suspected of cruelly killing his wife. Clara was found dead in suspicious circumstances, and Walter's lies and his own guilt seemed sufficient to condemn him. Because his life became as dangerous as the ruthless Kimmel, a police detective became more and more convinced that he had found a mimic assassin Walter, with the goal of manipulating two assassins.
