The film tells about black culture and the history of black struggle, and mainly focuses on inspirational sentiments. Generally, such films will have a slightly strong male flavor, but "Akeelah and the Bee" has a stronger warmth.
"Akeelah and the Bee" has infected countless teenagers with the goal of setting inspirational goals because of the legendary experience of the protagonist Akira.
"Akeelah and the Bee" staged a warm and inspirational drama that is "untouchable". The inspirational theme of the film is accompanied by moving music. Although the cost is not high, the excellent production makes the audience refreshing, and Keke Palmer, who is only 13 years old, plays the first female lead, which also adds a lot to the film.
It's a feel-good movie that would have felt better if it wasn't for the effect.

LA, Washington, USA, 11-year-old girl, collected this movie on 2011-06-25, and finally watched it after six years of boring time in the study fund. The family inspirational dramas I watched this year are all good. A good mind needs a good mentor , let you jump out of the closed and unconfident self, and get to know a wider world

Akeelah and the Bee quotes

  • Akeelah: [quoting Marianne Williamson] Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

Dr. Larabee: Does that mean anything to you?

    Akeelah: I don't know.

Dr. Larabee: It's written in plain English. What does it mean?

Akeelah: That I'm not supposed to be afraid?

    Dr. Larabee: Afraid of what?

    Akeelah: Afraid of... me?

  • Akeelah: Okay. But when I'm at the bee, and they tell me to spell some little fish from Australia or some weird bacteria on the Moon, we're going to wish we'd done a little bit more "rote-morizing" and not so much essay reading. If you don't mind me saying.

Dr. Larabee: Bacteria don't exist on the Moon.
