The story takes place at Digital Radio North Norfolk, where Alan Partridgelives his own life as a DJ hosting a morning talk show. Irishman Pat Farrell, the DJ in charge of the evening show, is fired when the radio station is taken over by a multinational chain . To everyone's surprise, Pat occupied the office where the radio station was located with guns and ammunition and took hostages. He told the police that the only person he was willing to negotiate with was Alan Partridge. In this way, Alan Partridge soon got his wish and became the focus of the media and flashlights
