The 16-year-old Jenny is a bright and cheerful little girl who studies in the preparatory class of a girls' school in rural London, England. Her grades are very good, and she is a "seeded player" who is expected to be admitted to Oxford University. One day, she met David, a mature, fashionable, witty and charming man, and fell in love with him like lightning. David took her to see the feasting and extravagance of the metropolis, which has always been a life she longed for.
