Ant-Man script writing

Before "Iron Man" achieved box office success, Edgar Wright wrote a screenplay for the Marvel comics character "Ant-Man". At Comic-Con in 2011, Edgar Wright said that he and his old partner screenwriter Joe Cornish completed the final script of the "Ant-Man" movie. In mid-to-late August 2013, Edgar Wright stated that Ultron, the core villain of "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron", will not appear in the "Ant-Man" movie. The deletion from Ant-Man is to make the plot more concise and focus more on Ant-Man.
On June 8, 2014, Marvel confirmed that Adam McKay, director of "Ace Announcer", would assist in the creation of the script. On July 8, 2014, "Ant-Man" decided to invite the two screenwriters Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrell to join the latest addition. The film crew hopes that they will make the final changes to the script. In mid-October 2014, screenwriter Adam McKay talked about how he and actor Paul Rudd had revised the script together in an interview, and revealed that he had added many new action scenes. However, some of Edgar Wright’s scripts will still be retained.

Cool! It’s just some part of the way that I feel like nausea, um, it’s the kind of motion sickness, the roller coaster kind of nausea...There are two easter eggs, and the time between the first easter egg and the second easter egg is enough to give birth to a child. , Everyone hold on.

Ant-Man quotes

  • Hope Van Dyne: [Scott gets into her car's passenger seat] Oh, god.

Scott Lang: You gotta lock your doors. I mean, really, there's some weird folks in this neighborhood.

Hope Van Dyne: Do you think this is a joke? Do you have any idea what he's asking you to risk? You have a daughter.

Scott Lang: I'm doing this for her.

Hope Van Dyne: You know when my mother died, I didn't see him for two weeks.

Scott Lang: He was in grief.

Hope Van Dyne: Yeah, so was I, and I was seven. And he never came back. Not in any way that counted. He just sent me off to boarding school. You know, I thought, with all that's at stake, just maybe we might have a chance of making peace. But even now, he still wants to shut me out.

Scott Lang: He doesn't want to shut you out. He trusts you.

Hope Van Dyne: Then why are you here?

Scott Lang: It proves that he loves you. Hope, look at me. I'm expendable. That's why I'm here. You must have realized that by now. I mean, it's why I'm in the suit and you're not. He'd rather lose this fight than lose you.

  • Scott Lang: Maggie, I tell you this as a friend, and as the first love of my life, your fiancé is an ass-hat.

Maggie Lang: He's not an ass-hat.

Paxton: Hey, watch your language. Okay?

Scott Lang: Oh, what language? I said hat.
