Before I Wake evaluation action

The film has a very good start. The opening is grand and everything is going smoothly. Even though its logical premises have been repeatedly shown thousands of times, the problem is that in the last third, it seems to return to a more traditional narrative trajectory. Non-existent ghosts, disappearances, and trauma are the explanations for everything, so this is not so much a bad movie as a wasted opportunity.
Here, Flanagan puts forward the argument that a child’s supernatural power marks a tragic event. The film has ambitious assumptions and a director with great potential, but behaves very clumsy and even sometimes dull and rhythmless; the whole film It can be seen as a mistake in the career of the producer. The film attracted the attention of the audience without any problems in the first half, but it quickly fell into the stereotype, gradually replacing the credibility provided by the supernatural premise.
The director tried to mix touching stories with suspense, but was lost in adding plots many times and seeking horror on the road of known genres.

The first half is a general theme of ghosts, so many butterflies, Xiaozheng is too cute. This is Cao Cao's dream of killing people? It can better bring out the meaning of the title at the end. Very good, 3 stars+

Little Jacob is so cute! This film is basically not scary, and the story is well told; the front is well laid out, but the puzzle solving in the latter part is too soft. The heroine has the appearance of a supermodel, but was turned into scum by Jacob's performance. . . [Winks] Since he played "Room", I can see that the future is a little plum again, just don't grow crippled. [Applause] This brain hole that can't be dreamed can actually be told beautifully~

Before I Wake quotes

  • Jessie: No one ever really goes away. Not completely. Because they live in our minds, and in our hearts

  • Natalie: I've had a case come back across my desk that could be a very good fit. Cody. He's eight. His birth mother died when he was three. And we placed him with a couple that may turned out weren't fit. The second couple we placed him with abandoned him. Oh, my God. And I went for his annual follow up I found him living alone in the apartment.
