The original subtitles of the film misspelled Stephen King's Stephen as ""Steven"". In the original version The ending is that Vicki, the character played by Linda Hamilton, was killed by the children. She joined the "Blue Man" and had her eyes gouged out. This ending was too bloody and was deleted."
