Chloe behind the scenes gags

This film is the first film made by director Atom Egoyan where he did not write the script himself.

The film had already recovered its shooting costs in the international pre-sale market before its large-scale release.

The film was shot in scenic spots in Toronto and Lake Ontario. Some local restaurants and scenic spots appear in the film with their actual names.

Atom Egoyan studied at the University of Toronto, and Joey McGrady, one of the film’s producers, was a teacher of Atom Egoyan at the University of Toronto.

In mid-March 2009, Liam Neeson was forced to withdraw from the filming halfway because he was going to the hospital to take care of his wife Natasha Richardson who had suffered a ski accident. Unfortunately, his wife died a few days later due to severe brain injury. Just a few days after his wife's death, Liam Neeson automatically returned to the crew to continue filming. In order to take care of Liam Neeson, the director and screenwriter modified the script of the film, and Liam Neeson completed his part in two days.

Canadian indie band Raised By Swans has two songs used in the film, and Chloe mentioned the band twice in the film.

The film was remake of the French film "Nathalie" directed by Anne Sibertin-Blanc in 2003. For "Chloe", Anne Sibertin-Blanc is full of expectations, because she is not satisfied with her "Nathalie"   .
