More atmospheric than Gettysburg, the part of the Irish brigade charging is very touching

The neglected American Civil War historical film basically clarifies the context of several important battles before the Battle of Gettysburg. The film is full of strong religious preaching and modern human rights concept propaganda, which may be related to the director's creative intentions, but from the perspective of film shooting techniques, although the scene is grand, the director appears to be quite well-behaved and old-fashioned, and the changes in the shot schedule are monotonous. The group portraits of several main actors are still outstanding, especially the general "Stonewall", which is moving and admirable. The film's music has the quality of an epic film.

Gen. 'Stonewall' Jackson: Tell me, Colonel Stuart. You use tobacco?
Maj. Gen. J. E. B. Stuart: No, sir. Not in any form.
Gen. 'Stonewall' Jackson: Neither do I. I find I like it too much.

Capt. Alexander 'Sandie' Pendleton: [about Jackson] What is it? He's never cried before. Not for all the blood and all the death. Not for his young students from VMI. Not for his friends. Not for anyone.
Johann Heros Von Borcke: Not so, Sandy. I think he's crying for them all.
