Good Will Hunting movie plot

A mathematics professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology wrote a question that he found very difficult on the bulletin board of his department, hoping that his outstanding students could solve the answer, but no one could solve it. As a result, when Will, a young cleaner, was cleaning after class, he found this math problem and easily solved the problem.
Will was extremely clever but rebellious, even fighting and making troubles everywhere, and was sentenced to the juvenile nursing home by the juvenile court. The mathematics professor deliberately promotes this genius of unruly self, asking him to study mathematics and receive psychological counseling on a regular basis. Mathematical problems could not trouble him, but Will was particularly resistant to psychological counseling until he met Professor Sonn, a psychological counseling expert who was not very successful in his career. Thanks to Sonn's efforts, the initial confrontation between the two turned into an inspiring friendship, which enabled Will to open his heart, walk out of the shadow of loneliness, and realize himself.

Not a sensational film, but it makes people cry. No matter how hard we try, we can't figure out a problem. Its name is life.

We who say that others are geniuses may call them geniuses because they know a lot of knowledge that we don't understand. Will in "Mind Catcher" is such a genius. His interest in mathematics is like how I feel about movies, because I love it, so I know more! Of course! I am better than Will in that I don't need to see a psychologist; but what is better in Will than me is that there are many more people who call him a genius than me! !

Good Will Hunting quotes

  • Will: [both leaning on a pick up truck while drinking beers and smoking cigarettes on a construction site] What do I wanna way outta here for? I'm gonna live here the rest of my fuckin' life. We'll be neighbors, have little kids, take 'em to Little League up at Foley Field.

Chuckie: Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way but, in 20 years if you're still livin' here, comin' over to my house, watchin' the Patriots games, workin' construction, I'll fuckin' kill ya. That's not a threat, that's a fact, I'll fuckin' kill ya.

Will: What the fuck you talkin' about?

Chuckie: You got somethin' none of us have...

Will: Oh, come on! What? Why is it always this? I mean, I fuckin' owe it to myself to do this or that. What if I don't want to?

Chuckie: No. No, no no no. Fuck you, you don't owe it to yourself man, you owe it to me. Cuz tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be 50, and I'll still be doin' this shit. And that's all right. That's fine. I mean, you're sittin' on a winnin' lottery ticket. And you're too much of a pussy to cash it in, and that's bullshit. 'Cause I'd do fuckin' anything to have what you got. So would any of these fuckin' guys. It'd be an insult to us if you're still here in 20 years. Hangin' around here is a fuckin' waste of your time.

  • Sean: [yelling at Gerald] And why does he hang out with those retarded gorillas, as you called them? Because any one of them, if he asked them to, would take a fucking bat to your head, okay? It's called loyalty.
