The planet on which the Green Lantern legion is located is about to encounter a war waged by an ancient enemy. Harold "Hal" Jordan recalls some stories of Green Lantern's origins and comrades as he prepares to recruit new recruits for battle. The new member Carol was originally a student and was selected into the Green Lantern legion by chance. When she was confused, Hal told her some Green Lantern stories, which finally inspired her courage and wisdom. Under her advice, Green Lantern finally defeated his opponent and brought peace to their planet.
