Honey Boy evaluation action

The story of "Honey Boy" connects these two different times and places, showing how Otis Lott's outrageous behavior evolved bit by bit from his turbulent upbringing, showing a kind of A tightrope walk with raw, rough drama. Shia La Beouf's moody character in the film is also a very expressive one. This action may lead some viewers to criticize the film and question why viewers should endure and focus on Shia La Beouf's self-healing through the film. But the film does a good job emotionally, very simple and peaceful.
The core of the film focuses on the relationship between father and son, and expresses the struggles and contradictions between father and son in a way that gives back to emotion. We can't help but feel sad to see young Otis caught on the phone between his two angry, long-divorced parents who are talking about this conversation and argument that has been repeated so many times before. This gives viewers a better understanding of Shia La Beouf's tormented past, as well as a sense of sympathy for him   .

After watching this movie, I suddenly feel a little sympathetic to Shia LaBeouf's previous series of actions. As far as the film itself is concerned, it is actually a question of reconciliation with the past.

/LFF P&I/ It's kind of sad because I've seen too much right and wrong about him. Don't forget where you come from, but if you have a choice, you should also reconcile with the past.

Honey Boy quotes

  • James: Think it through. What your mother got a job for?

    Otis (12): Just in case.

    James: In case what?

    Otis (12): I don't know.

James: In case you fail! In case it don't work out.

    Otis (12): No.

James: Yes. She's filling your head full of fear, I pump you up full of strength. Cause we're a team and I know you got what it takes. You're a fucking star and I know it, that's why I'm here. I'm your cheerleader Honey Boy.

  • James: How do you think it feels to have my son paying me? How do you think that feels?

Otis (12): [sadly] You wouldn't be here if I didn't pay you.
