A single mother (Carice Anouk van Houten) is horrified to discover that her 11-year-old son, Cameron, has suddenly changed his temperament.
Confused, the clergy turns on Dr. Shevyanba (Aaron Eckhart), a scientist who is paralyzed by a car accident.
After the car accident, Dr. Yanba used to use alcohol to anesthetize the pain of losing a loved one and trapped in a wheelchair for the rest of his life;
He does not believe in ghosts and gods, and studies paranormal phenomena from a scientific point of view. With the help of a high-tech life support system and two assistants, Yanba can sneak into the victim's subconscious.
