The protagonist Joe Sever (The Tool Man Tim Allen) is a well-regulated middle-aged man. Like all small people who fail, he dreams of becoming a "big man". He has been working for a pharmaceutical company in Minnesota, lamenting his lack of talent and not getting the appreciation he deserves.
