Jules and Jim Creative background

The film is adapted from Henri-Pierre Lozzi's autobiographical novel of the same name. Lozzi was 74 years old when he completed the original work, and it did not attract any attention after it was published. Truffau bought the novel by accident when he was still a film critic, determined to make it into a movie. Later, he used the topic in a film review and praised the novel with two sentences. Someone cut the film review to Lozzi, and the old gentleman wrote to Truffau immediately to thank him. Since then, the old and the young have communicated with geese. When filming "Four Hundred Strikes", Jeanne Moreau visited the class, Truffaut showed her the novel and sent her pictures to the old gentleman. The latter wrote back, agreeing that she is the ideal candidate to play Catherine. But three days before the film finally started, the old man unfortunately passed away   .

I hate this director and this movie more and more, so pedantic

Perhaps it was yesterday that I participated in the short hair retrospective of Varda, the godmother of the French new wave, so I took advantage of today's free time to revisit this old classic of Truffaut, and this time I cut the commentary tracks of Shu Qi and Huang Ailing. The old version of CC at the beginning made me sigh a lot. The disc market is bleak, EE is dead, WX is still alive, and big labels like CC and MOC are focusing on Blu-ray again. I decided to look through the inventory first, otherwise it's just a pile of ashes of plastic.

    Jules: Shakespeare.

  • Catherine: We're off in search of the last signs of civilization.
