The film is a stop-motion animation that produces dynamic effects through continuous projection of captured still images, and is generally performed by roles of clay puppets, puppets, or mixed materials. The formal history of stop-motion animation is as long as the history of hand-drawn animation, and may even be older. Still pictures with more than 24 frames per second are continuously shown, which can be regarded as dynamic pictures by the naked eye. Therefore, at least 24 pictures must be taken for each second of stop motion animation. The full length of "Legend of Magic Strings" is 101 minutes and 27 seconds, which is the longest original stop motion animation, with 1,359 shots and 133096 frames. And despite the skill and dedication, each Lycra animator can only complete 3.31 seconds of material per week on average due to the sophisticated production. The production took 94 weeks, and the total work time is 1,149,015 hours.
