"Man Down" tells the story of the male protagonist played by Shia LaBeouf who was tortured and destroyed by war, bereavement, and a series of events in which his inner world collapsed.
Gabriel Drummer (played by Shia LaBeouf) is a husband, a father, and a member of the Marine Corps. Of course, these identities only existed before the death of the humanistic society. Now, Gabriel is walking in the post-apocalyptic land, and together with his comrade Davin Roberts (Jai Courtney), he is struggling to survive in the harsh environment of the apocalypse, which is full of danger and sacrifice. At the same time, Gabriel is also struggling with his own memories: the terrible memories he experienced in Afghanistan; his beloved wife Natalie (played by Kate Mara) and their marriage on the verge of disintegration; and with Peyton, a psychologist in the army. The captain ( played by Gary Oldman ) had intermittent conversations. Surrounded by these memories, anger and regret drove Gabriel to use all the means he knew to retrieve everything he had lost.
