"Masterminds" is different from the usual serious themes used in the adaptation of general real events. The film is a comedy from beginning to end. This film is certainly not the top work of all director JaredHess's works, and it is not even the best work of the protagonists. Nevertheless, the crazy combination of the film and the 1997 real crime story, as well as the funny skills of a group of comedians, brought a lot of laughter to the audience
.
This slow-paced, dry, Hessian-style film is inconsistent with this passionate robbery story. Hess couldn't clearly cross the line between comedy, satire and drama, and the film turned into a crappy routine for an unlikely hero in the 90s to save daily life. However, the film still has its colorful and interesting moments, thanks to the fearless, unruly actors and directors who let them play
