Max Manus: Man of War movie plot

In the late 1930s, the cloud of war loomed over the European continent, and Germany and the Soviet Union encroached on European countries from the east and west. In 1940, Max Manus and many Norwegian youths formed a volunteer army to go to Finland to participate in the "Winter War" to prevent the Soviet Union from occupying Finland. Later, because Germany sent troops to Norway, Manus had to return to Oslo to organize underground publications to promote anti-Nazi ideas. This risky career led to Manus being captured by the Nazis, but he escaped by risk and finally arrived in Scotland, where he received rigorous training from the British. In 1943, Manus was parachuted into Norway and used homemade bombs to attack German ships, thus beginning his legendary life as a resistance hero as a psychopath
