- John Tetoro imitated the film's photographer Barry Sonnenfeld in his performance.
- Peter Sterman missed the film because he wanted to appear in the Broadway show "Hamlet."
- Sam Remy guest starred in the film. He played a gangster who fired with two guns in a nightclub shootout scene.
- The main creators used a lot of gangster films and noir films when creating the film.
- Some of the scenes, characters and dialogue in the film are derived from Dahir Hammet’s novel "Glass Key" and the film of the same name in 1942, and Hammet’s novel "Red Harvest" is also an important source of material for the film.
- During the writing of the script, the Coen brothers originally considered Tom Reagan's nickname "The Bighead" as the title of the film, which is why the background image of the film's opening captions came from.
- During the casting, the Coen brothers invited Trey Wilson to play the role of Rio, the gang boss, but two days before the filming began, Wilson died of a sudden cerebral hemorrhage, and finally Albert Finney had to do the role of Rio.

My favorite of the Coen Brothers films I've seen so far. The plot develops smoothly, and not a single shot or scene is superfluous. The plot is cleverly arranged, and there is no absolute climax one by one, but there are several places that make people nervous. The characters are deeply portrayed, even if it is a trick that appears once. The soundtrack is amazing, with "Danny Boy" reverberating in the Rush. There is no multi-line narrative, but such an awesome plot arrangement shows the black humor of the Coen brothers

The Coen Brothers read the film. The rating is so high, but I really don't understand it, it doesn't look good.
