Another Oscar leftover, the subject matter is too radical, and the last ten minutes are too political fairy tales, which suddenly fell out of force, but the performance is top-notch, the whole film is so nervous that it feels like it is watching continuously. A whole season of "Suits" or "The Newsroom" (in fact, there are also several important roles in the newsroom cast, almost every minute), with a slight modification, it can be comparable to last year's "Spotlight".

Recommended for Chastain's performance point, the style and two actors are very similar to The Newsroom, but the script is a bit strange, and the final twist makes people feel like "Huh?" The clues seem to be there, maybe rewatching it will be more effective. It would be nice if she had a little more character background.

Daniel Posner: You look good.
Elizabeth Sloane: Prison's not so bad if you don't have a penis. The guys shank each other, we form self-help groups. There's a black market economy in lip gloss.

[first lines]
Elizabeth Sloane: [to the camera] Lobbying is about foresight. About anticipating your opponent's moves and devising countermeasures. The winner plots one step ahead of the opposition, and plays her trump card just after they play theirs.
Daniel Posner: You better not say that while you're in there.
Elizabeth Sloane: It's about making sure you surprise them, and they don't surprise you.
