On May 21, the film released a surprise version of the trailer. On June 4th, the crew exposed a set of "High Altitude Crisis" edition specials. On July 3, the film party released the "Desperate Mission" edition of the special; on July 30, the film party exposed the preview and posters, and officially announced that it will be screened in China on August 31, 2018. On August 6, the "Mission Impossible 6: Total Disintegration" revealed the trailer for the "Final Attack" version and the character series posters. On August 13, the film party exposed the "Dangerous" version of the trailer. On August 24th, the film crew released the "Secret Agent File" character special. On August 24, IMAX and Paramount Pictures held an early movie viewing event in Beijing; on September 10, the filmmaker released the "strongest sequel" version of the word-of-mouth special.
