In essence, "My Original Dream"
is no different from all other youth films. It is a person's restlessness, physical and psychological restlessness during adolescence, and the specific performance is sex and violence. But fortunately first, the director is real and bravely chose the most simple and powerful way of expression. The violence is hearty, and the sex is not veiled. Of course, as a youth film shown in our country's cinemas, the so-called sex here is not embodied in the lens, but more of an awareness. For example, Zhao Huan's pink, pure and pure dream, and those clumsy and completely inappropriate body touches under the train bridge hole and in the boiling water room. But it is precisely these that are the most memorable.
"My Original Dream"
is a movie with obvious strengths and weaknesses. It's true that there are many details that still appear to be very talented or powerful, and it's by no means a film for a mediocre director. These details include: in a sensual place full of falsehood and lust, a humble little person suddenly calls out his father's name in Truth or Dare, and emotion has a more real power in the absurd. Similarly, the film's flaws are also shocking. Childhood memories and adult struggles are completely separated in "My Original Dream". Many of the film's plots are incoherent, and even make no sense.
"My Original Dream" was a fruitful box office on the first day of its release. The "tearful" relationship between "Zhao Shaan" and "Li Chunxia" was the most down-to-earth and real adolescence in history.
