Outlaw King evaluation action

The film is a typical heroic biographical film. The director has taken the standard iron man tenderness line for Robert's character setting. The emotional line between him and his wife Elizabeth not only did not slow down the plot, but added to the cold and bloody war. A touch of tenderness. The war scenes of the film are exciting, the action design and photography are excellent, the two supporting actors Aaron Johnson and Billy Hall both contributed wonderful performances that are not inferior to the protagonist. The fly in the ointment is that the director's control over Robert's character is not stable, and there are often problems with different character styles before and after   .
The film is not a sequel to "Brave Heart". The film is thick and deep, with a strong taste of medieval swords and shields everywhere, and the costumes and props are very sophisticated, but the ending of the film is still a bit of a failure.  .

Bad hand in a few places. The war scenes are good, the pine is good, but the accent is too bad.

Outlaw King quotes

  • King Edward I of England: It was my hope to grow old and not die on the battlefield but i see now that the great danger in a death from natural causes is that one may be lying in one's bed chamber thinking of all the things that have been left undone.

  • [James Douglas spots Robert Clifford on the battlefield, the man to whom King Edward had awarded James' holdings after banning the use of the Douglas name]

James Douglas, Lord of Douglas: [yelling] Clifford!

[they proceed to fight one another; Clifford is swiftly knocked down and struggles to rise again]

James Douglas, Lord of Douglas: You know who I am?

[Clifford attempts to defend himself and is knocked down a second time]

James Douglas, Lord of Douglas: [screaming at the top of his voice] What's my fucking name?

    Robert Clifford: [stammering] Douglas!

James Douglas, Lord of Douglas: Yes!

    [Douglas cuts him down]
