In order to shoot "Prairie", the staff went to Okavango Delta camping for five months in two years , just to watch the swamp lion hunt the African Cape buffalo. In "Mountains", the filming process of the snow leopard was not easy for the production team. More than 20 years ago, given that no one had ever photographed such a wild animal living in the plateau area, the team at Edenburg considered filming a series about snow leopards. But with the deepening of research and discussion, everyone found that the possibility of realizing the idea is almost zero. The main problem is that the shooting equipment can't keep up, and in the end they can only give up regretfully. This time, the "Planet Earth II" team once again set their sights on the leopard. They used various small cameras with automatic sensing, placed the cameras in every corner of the cliff that the snow leopard might pass, and waited for several months.
