Queen Margot movie plot

In the second half of the sixteenth century, France was in the Huguenot War. Catholics and Protestants were engaged in a cruel civil war. The palace was luxurious and corrupt. In 1572, in order to end the war, the Catholic royal family decided to marry the leader of the Protestants, King Henry de Bourbon of Navarreplayed, and Princess La Reine Margot, the sister of the king, Has become a victim of political marriage. The wedding of La Reine Margot and Henry was held in Paris. Just as everyone celebrated the wedding, under the planning of the Queen Mother Caterina Maria Romola di Lorenzo de' Medic, a big event aimed at Protestants The slaughter kicked off, and Massacre de la Saint-Barthélemy caused the whole of France to flow into a river of blood. Later, after several years of war, all of La Reine Margot's brothers died. Her husband accidentally inherited the French throne and became Henri IV , the founding monarch of the Bourbon dynasty . La Reine Margot also changed from a princess to La Reine Margot   .
