Rambo movie plot

Twenty years later, John Rambo has lost his former heroism. He stayed away from his homeland and retreated to a small village in northern Thailand, doing a ferry business by the Salween River and barely making ends meet. In fact, Rambo needs to do more than just send people or goods to the other side of the river, because close to the border between Thailand and Myanmar, they are still suffering from wars. The civil war between the Burmese and the Kayin people took place. Although it has lasted for as long as 60 years, there is no sign of stopping, so some areas, even Rambo, are cautious.
Rambo seems to have finally found his place. He is leisurely and contented between the mountains and the jungle. Apart from ferrying, he occasionally relies on fishing and catching poisonous snakes to sell to make ends meet, living a lonely but simple life day after day. He hadn't fought seriously for anyone for a long time. Whether it was a doctor, a mercenary, a rebel or a peace messenger, anyone passing through a war-torn zone had little to do with him.
However, extraordinary people are destined to be unable to live a peaceful life for too long. A group of missionaries who are committed to advocating human rights find Rambo because they need an English-speaking guide. The leaders Sara and Michael Burnett explained their intentions to Rambo: It turns out that this group of people has been trekking in various refugee camps since last year to provide the refugees with necessities. However, because the Burmese army planted landmines on the road, they could no longer take the land method before. It was too dangerous and could only choose water. They asked Rambo to help them cross the Salween so that they could bring medicine and food supplies to the Kayin people. At the beginning, Rambo refused to enter Myanmar from Thailand. However, looking at these foreigners who came from afar in the spirit of humanity, Rambo seemed to be slightly touched. He finally brought Sarah, Michael, and them together. Everyone who came was successfully delivered to the destination.
Almost two weeks later, the pastor Arthur Marsh made a sudden visit. He told Rambo that none of the humanitarian aid workers he had escorted had returned, and the embassy had nothing to do with their disappearance. Arthur mortgaged his house and raised a sum of money from the church. He planned to hire mercenaries to rescue these missionaries, because Arthur guessed that most of them had become prisoners of the Burmese military. Although through the training of the US military, Rambo has become the most lethal super soldier in Vietnam, but decades have passed, he has long since given up the way of dealing with everything with violence and weapons, even it is still clear and arguable. The scars are also gradually blending into the skin, but the lone warrior knows that sometimes, some things must be done by him.

As an action movie, it's a bit bloody~ A total of one and a half hours of the movie, I watched more than an hour of "stump limbs and flesh and blood", only the last 15 minutes is ranbo, but ranbo actually spent 10 minutes all the time Shooting... One more star on the one hand is to understand that Long Ge is really not suitable for jumping up and down to work hard at his age; on the other hand, Ranbo finally returns to his hometown, which can be regarded as a successful end to this series.

Super gory. Although I don't know the political situation in Myanmar, I believe that the Myanmar government army will not be as evil as the film describes. It is no wonder that Myanmar does not accept US aid.

Rambo quotes

  • Burnett: What did you do? We came here to help stop the killing! Who are you to...

John Rambo: [grabs Burnett by the throat, and slams him up against a support beam] WHO ARE YOU?

    Sarah: Let him go!

John Rambo: They would've raped her fifty times... and cut your fucking heads off! Who are you? Who are any of you?

  • Sarah Miller: Maybe you've lost your faith in people. But you must still be faithful to something. You must still care about something. Maybe we can't change what is. But trying to save a life isn't wasting your life, is it?
