"Ripley's Game" is adapted from the Ripley series of novels written by Patricia Highsmith. The film takes place in quaint and exotic Europe. Just looking at the setting is a feast for the eyes. The difference is that the times have moved to today. The story unfolding from a family banquet feels a bit gloomy. However, in fact, Ripley did not want to put Jonathan to death. There must be similarities in the personalities of the two. Ripley will fancy him, as if training a successor to introduce him into this circle of right and wrong. When people contact and slaughter the enemy, it may be the most comical snippet: Ripley is sophisticated and full of humor, ready to resolve the tension during the confrontation. He said that he did not read the noose instruction manual, so he was not sure whether the enemy was strangled. ? Jonathan is emotional, clumsy and hysterical like ordinary people. Thanks to this role, we can easily get into the situation.
