"Santa sangre" is not just a story about a man killing dozens of women. The director also puts idolatry, religious beliefs, and the confrontational and inseparable relationship between mother and child in a foreign land. This is a bloody story woven from sex and sacredness. The film begins with the male protagonist who is treated in a mental hospital after he grows up. It traces his childhood nightmare in flashback format. The director Jodo makes the son in the film become a puppet of a mother with a broken arm, just as a mother becomes a puppet of faith and religion.  .

The degree of completion is very high; it is very religious and Oedipus, and there are many symbolic images; the soundtrack and art finger are very Latin American; the role of the little girl is set as a deaf and dumb person, and the actors are also very innocent...
